The Original Heists: the complete guide to all five

The Original Heists are where GTA Online heisting began: five apartment-run jobs from the March 2015 update that escalate from a two-player bank poke to the legendary four-player Pacific Standard. They pay less per hour than the modern heists, but they are still some of the most fun in the game, they carry the weekly first-completion boost since July 2026, and running them in order remains the rite of passage every crew should do once.

This guide is the full run: what you need, all five heists in sequence with their finales, and the Elite challenges laid out so you can chase the bonuses. Figures are checked against tested community values as of early August 2026.

Step 1: get set up

  • The host needs a high-end apartment with a heist planning room, bought from Dynasty 8 Executive. Anything listed with a Heist Planning Room does the job
  • Get a crew: Fleeca needs two players, the other four need a full team of four, and there is no soloing these
  • Only the host pays the property and the setup fees; crew members just turn up
  • Buy an Armored Kuruma if you can. It trivialises the setup missions and half the finales, and it is the best cheap purchase a new heister can make

Step 2: The Fleeca Job

  • Two players, GTA$11,500 setup. The tutorial heist: scope a small Fleeca bank on the Western Highway, source a getaway car, then drill the vault and get out
  • Repeat finale pays around GTA$201,250 on Normal, GTA$251,563 on Hard, with the first run of the week worth 1.5 times that
  • Elite bonus GTA$50,000: finish under 5:20, keep vehicle damage under 6%, nobody wasted

Step 3: The Prison Break

  • Four players, GTA$25,000 setup. Break the high-value inmate Rashkovsky out of Bolingbroke: setups source a transport bus, a smugglers plane, riot gear and intel, then the finale splits the crew into a prisoner and a pilot and the rest as cover
  • Repeat finale pays around GTA$700,000 on Normal, GTA$875,000 on Hard, first-of-week boosted
  • Elite bonus GTA$100,000: keep Rashkovsky damage at 1% or less, extraction under 4:40, nobody wasted

Step 4: The Humane Labs Raid

  • Four players, GTA$25,000 setup. Steal chemical weapons research from the Humane Labs: setups include an EMP, insurgents and deliveries, and the finale runs two teams through the facility on foot and in the tunnels
  • Repeat finale pays around GTA$945,000 on Normal, GTA$1,181,250 on Hard, first-of-week boosted
  • Elite bonus GTA$100,000: finish under 11:00, vehicle damage under 2%, nobody wasted

Step 5: Series A Funding

  • Four players, GTA$25,000 setup. Raid Trevor and Lamar rivals for drug money: the setups are a spread of vehicle and coke-grab jobs, and the finale defends and delivers across the city
  • Repeat finale pays around GTA$707,000 on Normal, GTA$883,750 on Hard, first-of-week boosted
  • Elite bonus GTA$100,000: finish under 6:30, kill 75 enemies, nobody wasted

Step 6: The Pacific Standard Job

  • Four players, GTA$25,000 setup. The famous one: rob the biggest bank in Los Santos, with setups sourcing bikes, a Kuruma, signal jammers and a Technical, then a finale that ends in the legendary motorbike escape down the LS River
  • Repeat finale pays around GTA$1,500,000 on Normal, GTA$1,875,000 on Hard, the biggest of the five and first-of-week boosted
  • Elite bonus GTA$100,000: finish under 10:15, do not let anyone call NOOSE, nobody wasted

The reference layer: how the money works

Every finale above shows the repeat payout, and since July 2026 the first completion of each heist after the Thursday reset pays 1.5 times that value, applied per heist, so a crew can bank five boosted finales across one week. Completing all the Elite challenges within a single heist adds the bonus listed (GTA$50,000 for Fleeca, GTA$100,000 for the rest), and a quick restart forfeits the Elite. The host takes the property and setup costs but sets the finale split, so the standard etiquette is a bigger host cut to cover the buy-in. These are not the best money per hour in GTA Online, but Pacific Standard first-of-week is a genuinely strong payday, and the whole set is the best crew-training in the game.

Finding a crew

Four of the five need a full four-player crew, and matchmaking these old heists with strangers is the classic GTA Online time sink. GTA Online has no crossplay, so your crew shares your platform, and that is exactly what the SixCentral Heist Finder is for: each original heist on the board, one tap to join, and every gamertag lands with the host. It runs in our Discord, which opens from your account page, and the online desk lives at sixcentral.co.uk/online.

Buy the apartment, grab a Kuruma, run them in order once, and take the Pacific Standard boost every week after. This is where crews are made.
