The single most modern moment in the Extended Look lasts about six seconds. At 18:24 a saloon runs the beachfront strip with its boot open, and a man is lying inside it, phone raised, filming himself, while a Vice City police cruiser rides his bumper.

The right side of the screen is a full streaming overlay. A red LIVE badge. Fifty one thousand viewers. Floating hearts and flames. And a chat column scrolling real jokes in two languages: Corre coño. Bro loves attention lol. Sup camilo and chat. Dale dale dale. And one immortal account called SeamoreTittums typing KING OF TRUNK in capitals, twice.

The R3 prompt changes everything

Bottom right of the frame sits the detail that turns a gag into a system. View livestream, on R3. You are not just witnessing this event, you can join his audience, in game, and presumably watch the chase from inside his phone. That is an ambient world event with its own audience, running whether you engage or not, and a mechanic inviting you in.

One comms language

Camilos overlay is not a one off. It shares a design language with everything else the phone does in this game. Lucia sends a warning mid raid as a floating bubble with a cartoon memoji avatar of herself. The dog in the opening responds to a stroke with a grinning reaction emote. Streams, texts and animal moods all speak the same modern visual dialect, which tells you this is one coherent social layer, not scattered gimmicks. GTA 4 gave its world television. GTA 6 gives it an internet.

Why it matters

Rockstar worlds have always performed for you. This one performs for itself. Camilo has an audience that is not you, a persona that is not for you, and a police problem that predates your arrival in the scene. Multiply that by a city and the simulation stops being a backdrop and starts being a feed you live inside. We suspect the phone will be the most written about object in this game by Christmas.
