Business guide

Vehicle Cargo: the complete business guide

Vehicle Cargo arrived with Import/Export in December 2016 and still runs the exact same loop a decade on: steal a car, store it, sell it to a buyer. What separates the players who love it from the players who abandoned it is one setup trick and one habit, and with both in place it remains the most satisfying mid-tier earner in the game, especially if you would rather be driving something beautiful than sitting in a delivery lorry.

This guide is the version that works: the warehouse, the high-end lock that changes everything, the clean-driving economy and the tools that remove the pain. Figures are checked against tracked community values as of early August 2026.

Step 1: get the property pair

  • Vehicle Cargo needs a CEO Office first; Maze Bank West at GTA$1,000,000 is the standard cheap pick
  • Then buy a Vehicle Warehouse from the office computer, from about GTA$1.5 million, with La Mesa the classic central choice
  • The warehouse stores 40 vehicles across three ranges: standard, mid and top, and only the top range is worth selling

Step 2: the high-end lock, the trick that defines this business

  • Source vehicles repeatedly until you have collected all 20 distinct standard and mid-range cars, and then never sell a single one of them
  • With every standard and mid slot filled, the game can only source you top-range vehicles, every time, for ever
  • This is the whole business in one move: a few unglamorous sessions of collection buys you a permanent GTA$100,000-per-car loop

Step 3: source and drive like the car is money, because it is

  • Source from the office computer or the Terrorbyte and go collect the car
  • Every scratch on the way home comes straight off your profit at the sale, so drive it like the fragile six-figure asset it is
  • Learn the recurring source scenarios; most have a calm route once you have seen them twice

Step 4: sell to the specialist

  • Export top-range cars to the specialist buyer for GTA$100,000 each, minus whatever damage you gifted the bodywork
  • There is a cooldown between exports, so the rhythm is one car out, one activity elsewhere, back for the next
  • Run the loop cleanly and it settles around GTA$250,000 to GTA$300,000 an hour solo, with tuned setups pushing toward GTA$450,000

Step 5: the tools that remove the pain

  • A Cargobob or the Iron Mule lifts source cars home by air with zero damage, which converts the whole damage economy into free money
  • The Terrorbyte lets you launch sourcing without returning to the office, which compounds over dozens of loops
  • Neither is required, both pay for themselves if this becomes a regular business for you

The reference layer

Where Vehicle Cargo honestly sits in 2026: behind the Acid Lab and Cayo on pure hourly maths, ahead of almost everything on feel. It is active, skill-expressive, and immune to the delivery-lorry tedium that defines the other businesses, which is why car-first players still run it daily. Two clarifications worth having: the one meaningful update it ever received made the loop smoother rather than richer, and a Vehicle Warehouse does not feed the Nightclub, that technician wants a crate warehouse or a Hangar instead. Buy it for the driving, keep it for the loop.

Where it fits

The active alternative: when the Acid Lab is producing, the Nightclub is accruing and the weekly heists are done, the top-range loop is the best money you can make from behind a steering wheel. Every guide in the programme is live on the online desk at sixcentral.co.uk/online, on the site and in the SixCentral app.

Fill the twenty, never sell them, fly the sources home, and the specialist buyer never stops calling. Ten years old and still the best-feeling grind in Los Santos.
