Heist guide

The Doomsday Heist: all three acts, still worth running

The Doomsday Heist is GTA Online''s sci-fi trilogy: three full acts released in December 2017, escalating from stolen data to a hijacked submarine to a missile silo, with the most cinematic finales in the game. It fell off the money meta for years. The July 2026 update put it back: each act''s first completion every week now pays a boosted rate, repeat payouts were fixed to their intended values, and the setup missions themselves pay more than they used to.

Here is what the trilogy demands, act by act, and where the money sits in 2026.

What you need

The host needs a Facility from Maze Bank Foreclosures; the cheapest, up in Paleto Forest, is GTA$1,250,000, and pricier ones buy location rather than function. Every act needs a minimum of two players and runs with up to four, so this is the one heist line where a crew is not optional. Each act charges the host a setup fee: GTA$65,000 for Act I, GTA$95,000 for Act II and GTA$120,000 for Act III.

The structure per act is the classic long form: freemode prep jobs to source gear, proper setup missions, then the finale. The acts unlock in order on a first playthrough, and after that you can host whichever act the week''s bonus favours.

Act I: The Data Breaches

The gentle introduction, relatively speaking: the conspiracy surfaces, the crew chases stolen intelligence across the city, and the finale storms an IAA facility to take it back. Base take GTA$650,000, split by the crew, with hard mode paying more. Act I is also the trilogy''s best teaching ground, so run new crew members through it before the later acts ask more of them.

Act II: The Bogdan Problem

The famous one. A nuclear submarine, a Russian counterpart who is not quite the enemy, and a finale below the waterline that remains a top-five Rockstar mission a decade on. Base take GTA$950,000. The setups introduce some of the update''s signature toys, and the finale rewards a crew that actually communicates: two teams, two jobs, one clock.

Act III: The Doomsday Scenario

The finale of finales: the full villain-lair experience, ending inside a missile silo with the fate of San Andreas on the timer. Base take GTA$1,200,000, the trilogy''s biggest, and its setups gate some of the game''s most ridiculous hardware, from the Thruster jetpack to the Khanjali tank, unlockable at trade price by playing the missions that feature them.

Where the money is in 2026

Three things changed in July, and together they are the reason this guide exists. First, every act''s first completion each week pays a substantially boosted rate, resetting on Thursdays, and the boost applies per act, so a crew can take all three bonuses in one good weekend. Second, Rockstar fixed repeated-completion payouts for all three acts to their originally intended values, closing a long-standing short-change. Third, the setup missions themselves now pay more, so the road to each finale is no longer dead time.

On top of that sit the trilogy''s long-standing discipline bonuses: elite challenges per act and the Criminal Mastermind ladder for crews who clear the acts in order without dying, which pay serious money to serious crews. We are keeping exact bonus figures out of this guide until we have verified them against the post-July economy in-game; when we have, they will be here.

Finding a crew

Doomsday will not even launch without a second player, which makes crew-finding part of the heist itself. The SixCentral Raid Finder lists all three acts separately, Xbox and PS5 kept apart because GTA Online has no crossplay, and one tap puts your gamertag in the host''s hands. It runs in our Discord, which opens from your account page, and the online desk lives at sixcentral.co.uk/online.

Pick the act the week favours, bring a crew that talks, and the end of the world pays better in 2026 than it has in years.
