The Cluckin' Bell Farm Raid: the free heist that still pays
The Cluckin'' Bell Farm Raid arrived in March 2024 and quietly became the best on-ramp GTA Online has: a full heist chain with no property to buy, no setup fees, and a finale that pays proper money. Since July 2026 that finale also carries the weekly first-completion boost, which turned a one-and-done story job into a standing Thursday appointment.
If you are new, broke, or bringing a mate into the game for the first time, start here. This is everything the raid asks of you and everything it pays.
How to start
There is nothing to buy. Vincent Effenburger, the ex-cop from the casino story missions, calls you in freemode; answer, or start the job from your phone''s job list, and the chain begins. It runs solo or with up to four players, and nobody in the crew needs to own anything.
The job
The setup is classic Rockstar: the Cluckin'' Bell factory up in Paleto Bay is a front, a cartel has moved its operation in behind the chicken, and Vincent wants to rob them stupid. The chain opens with Slush Funds and runs six missions deep, building the usual way: casing the operation, lifting the gear and the access you need, cutting the cartel''s support out from under them, then hitting the factory itself in the Scene of the Crime finale.
The missions are tuned so a solo player can clear the lot, and the whole chain runs comfortably inside an evening on a first attempt. With a crew it is faster and considerably funnier.
What it pays
Each mission in the chain pays out on completion, and the Scene of the Crime finale pays GTA$500,000 as its base. Since the July 2026 update, your first completion of the finale each week pays a substantially boosted rate, resetting every Thursday like the rest of the weekly rotation. Against a buy-in of exactly nothing, that is one of the cleanest returns in the game, and it is why the raid belongs on the weekly rota even for rich accounts.
Who it is for
Everyone, honestly, but especially three kinds of player. New accounts, because it funds your first real business without touching a Shark Card. Returning players, because it is a self-contained evening that asks for no catching up. And crews with a new member, because it teaches heist flow, callouts and bag discipline with training wheels on and half a million at the end.
Finding a crew
You can run it alone, but the raid was written for a crew, and GTA Online''s lack of crossplay means that crew has to be on your platform. The SixCentral Raid Finder handles exactly that: the Cluckin'' Bell Farm Raid is on the board, Xbox and PS5 kept separate, one tap to join and your gamertag lands with the host. It lives in our Discord, which opens from your account page. The full online desk is at sixcentral.co.uk/online.
Free to start, five hundred grand to finish, boosted on Thursdays. There is no cleverer first hour in GTA Online.
