The Auto Shop: the complete business guide
Image: Rockstar GamesThe Auto Shop arrived with Los Santos Tuners in 2021 and it is really two things wearing one overall: a modest car-service business and an excellent mini-heist desk. The Robbery Contracts are the point, one of them is genuinely the best repeatable job outside the proper heists, and the Exotic Exports board quietly adds up to GTA$300,000 a day for stealing nice cars, which you were doing anyway.
This guide is the version that earns: the purchase, the contract desk, the king of the board and the daily export habit. Figures are checked against tracked community values as of early August 2026.
Step 1: buy the Auto Shop
- Buy from Maze Bank Foreclosures, GTA$1,670,000 to GTA$1,920,000 by location, price buys position only
- Run the one-off setup mission, Impounded Car, and the Job Board upstairs opens for business
- Everything on that board runs solo, and there are no supply or setup fees anywhere in this business
Step 2: learn the contract board
- Eight Robbery Contracts exist and three rotate on the board at a time, each one a compact two-prep-and-finale mini-heist with Sessanta and KDJ
- Standard contracts pay GTA$170,000 to GTA$185,000 to the host before the 10% cut the pair take
- All eight are fully solo-able, most take ten to thirty minutes once practised
Step 3: worship the Union Depository
- One contract embarrasses the rest: the Union Depository, a proper vault job on the biggest bank in the game, paying GTA$300,000 solo and up to GTA$375,000 with a crew carrying the extra gold
- It is comfortably solo-able in twenty to thirty minutes once you know the route, which makes it the best payout-per-minute contract in the business
- The meta writes itself: run whatever is on the board, but the moment the Union Depository appears, drop everything and run it
Step 4: build the Exotic Exports habit
- Completing your first contract unlocks the Exotic Exports blackboard: ten listed cars a day, steal and deliver each for GTA$20,000
- Clear all ten and a GTA$100,000 bonus lands on top, GTA$300,000 a day total for casual car theft between other activities
- The list resets daily, so the habit compounds beautifully across a week
Step 5: know what to ignore
- Customer car service jobs pay small and exist for flavour; deliver them when convenient, never as a strategy
- The shop itself is also a working mod garage with staff, car lifts and a personal workshop, which is half the reason Tuners players live here
The reference layer
Where the Auto Shop sits in 2026: a full session of three contracts clears GTA$300,000 to GTA$500,000 an hour depending on the board, the Union Depository alone anchors the whole purchase, and the Exotic Exports habit adds GTA$300,000 a day on top for players who keep the list in mind. It is free to run, entirely solo, and one of the strongest early buys in the game because it starts earning before you can afford anything bigger. The one honest note: outside the Union Depository, the contracts are good rather than great, filler with wages while you wait for the king to rotate back.
Where it fits
The Auto Shop pairs perfectly with a Cayo rhythm: contracts and exports fill the cooldowns, and nothing here ever asks for supplies. Every guide in the programme is live on the online desk at sixcentral.co.uk/online, on the site and in the SixCentral app.
Buy it early, run the board, clear the daily ten, and treat every Union Depository appearance like payday. Sessanta was right about you.
