The FIB Files: the complete Agents of Sabotage guide

The FIB Files came in with Agents of Sabotage in December 2024 and they are the closest thing GTA Online has to repeatable heists you can run without assembling a crew. Four multi-stage scores, all soloable, and one of them is boosted every single week as the rotating FIB Priority File.

That weekly rotation is the part most people miss. If you check nothing else in the weekly update, check which Priority File is live, because it pays double.

What you need

The Darnell Bros Garment Factory, bought from Maze Bank Foreclosures. It is the old Lester hideout from the GTA V story, which is a nice touch, and it is the only property that unlocks this content. There is exactly one location, so there is no decision to make.

Once you own it you meet Jodi Marshall, a former FIB operative with a grudge and backdoor access to the Bureau''s data network. Complete the introduction, get the Darnell Inc. app installed on your iFruit, and the Files unlock.

How a File runs

Each File is three setup missions and a finale. The setups can be started from the Garment Factory itself or launched remotely from the Darnell Inc. app on your phone, which is the faster route once you know what you are doing.

The four Files cover stealing military secrets, digging into IAA corruption, retrieving stolen artwork and taking apart a large enterprise. They lean on hacking, infiltration and technical sabotage more than on straight gunfights, which makes them a genuine change of pace from the usual sell-mission grind.

The Priority File is the whole point

Every week Rockstar designates one of the four as the FIB Priority File and it pays double. The Fine Art File, for instance, has been the live Priority File during recent weeks.

Run the Priority File once a week and leave the other three unless you want the variety. Running a non-boosted File at base rate is fine but it is not efficient, and the Files are long enough that efficiency matters.

The Terrorbyte upgrades are the real prize

Working with Jodi unlocks several new upgrades for the Benefactor Terrorbyte, which can also now be stored inside the Garment Factory. The one worth going out of your way for is the Collectible Scanner.

If you have ever tried to hunt G''s Caches, Action Figures or Movie Props by hand, the scanner changes that entirely. On a site that runs a collectibles atlas we can say with some feeling: this single upgrade saves more time than most businesses make money.

Practical tips

• Launch setups from the Darnell Inc. app rather than driving to the factory each time. It is a large saving over a full File.
• There is a passive income safe in the factory. Empty it whenever you pass through, same as any other business.
• The basement garage has fast travel to several points around Los Santos through underground routes. Learn where it drops you and it becomes a genuine shortcut.
• There is an Mk II Weapon Workshop on site, so you do not need to detour to a Bunker to convert weapons.
• The Files are stealth-friendly but not stealth-mandatory. If a stage goes loud, it is recoverable. Do not restart out of perfectionism.

Yuanbao, while you are here

The same update added Yuanbao as a collectible, hidden across thirty-six locations. Collecting all thirty-six rewards the Gold Snake Santo Capra outfit. It is unrelated to the Files themselves but it is the sort of thing you will start tripping over once you are driving around for setups, and the Terrorbyte scanner helps here too.

Where this sits

The Garment Factory is a mid-cost property with a modest passive income and one genuinely strong repeatable activity attached. It will not replace Cayo Perico or a well-run Kortz Center week as your top earner.

What it will do is give you something substantial to run solo that is not another supply run, plus the Collectible Scanner, plus a weekly double-pay job that takes one session. For a lot of players that combination is worth more than a higher number on a spreadsheet.
