Everything You Missed In GTA Online This Month, And Where The Money Is Now

August was busy and a lot of it has already rotated out. Here is the short version of what happened, what you can still get, and where the money actually is this week.

Brand Wars: finished, and you probably missed the free stuff

Rockstar ran a two-week Brand Wars event from 13 to 26 August, splitting players between Team Sprunk and Team eCola. Linking your Twitch and Rockstar accounts and watching Drops-enabled streams from either side paid out branded gear and up to GTA$2,000,000.

The free items on offer during the event were the Sprunk and eCola bodysuits at any clothing store, a free Declasse Hotring Sabre from Southern San Andreas Super Autos, a Sprunk and eCola livery for it, and branded vanity plates at vehicle workshops. Alongside it, Hotring Circuit races and selected Freemode activities were paying quadruple, and there was a 5X GTA$ and RP window on VIP Work over the weekend of 21 to 23 August.

If you were not logging in during those two weeks, that is all gone. Worth setting a reminder for the next Twitch Drops window, because two million for leaving a stream running is the easiest money Rockstar hands out.

The Gallivanter Warden is now on general sale

The Warden is a four-door SUV that landed on 13 August as a GTA+ early access freebie, then went on general sale a week later. It costs GTA$1,597,500 from Legendary Motorsport and is Imani Tech eligible at the Agency, which is the part that matters if you spend any time in public lobbies getting locked onto.

If you have GTA+ and you claimed it free, good. If not, it is a solid utility SUV rather than a must-buy, and it will be discounted eventually.

This week is racing, 27 August to 2 September

The current week leans hard into the LS Car Meet side of the game.

  • Five new Random Transform Races added, split across the Known Unknowns and Unknown Unknowns categories.
  • Three more vehicles are now eligible for Drift Tuning upgrades at the LS Car Meet.
  • 6X GTA$ and RP on selected Drift and Transform Races, 28 to 30 August only.
  • 3X GTA$ and RP on the Random Transform Races all week.
  • 2X GTA$, RP and LS Car Meet Rep on Drift Races and on Auto Shop Robbery Contracts.
  • Complete three Drift Races for an extra GTA$100,000, and complete a Drift Race in the Ubermacht Cypher to get the Glitch Camo livery within 72 hours.
  • Lucky Wheel podium is the Karin Sultan Classic. Prize Ride is the Veto Classic go-kart. Nine vehicles discounted up to 30 per cent.

Where the money actually is

Races are fun but they are not a wage. The genuine earner this week is Auto Shop Robbery Contracts at 2X, which roughly doubles them from around GTA$350,000 an hour to around GTA$700,000 an hour and pushes them above the Diamond Casino Heist. On current numbers that puts them third, behind only the weekly Kortz Center run and Cayo Perico.

  • The Kortz Center Heist has new Primary Targets, its first-completion bonus has reset, and finishing it without dying pays an extra GTA$400,000.
  • This week the FIB Priority File is The Fine Art File, which pays double as always.
  • Lucky Wheel podium is the Karin Sultan Classic. The LS Car Meet Prize Ride is the Dinka Veto Classic, earned by placing top five in the LS Car Meet Series four days running.
  • Nine vehicles are 30 per cent off, including the Cheval Taipan, Vapid Flash GT, Invetero Coquette D5, Annis ZR350 and Obey I-Wagen.

What is next

Races are fun but they are not a wage. The genuine earner this week is Auto Shop Robbery Contracts at 2X, which roughly doubles them from around GTA$350,000 an hour to around GTA$700,000 an hour and pushes them above the Diamond Casino Heist. On current numbers that puts them third, behind only the weekly Kortz Center run and Cayo Perico. If you have not run Kortz this week, the GTA$400,000 no-death bonus makes it the single best hour on the board.

If you want a crew for any of it, the SixCentral Discord has a heist team finder covering all fifteen heists, with player counts set per heist so a four-player job does not stall with two people in the lobby. Clip submissions are open too, GTA Online included.

Bonuses, discounts and podium vehicles rotate every Thursday and everything above reflects the week of 27 August to 2 September 2026.
