GTA Online Halloween 2026: Survival and Collectible Checklist

On this page

Start with the event date, then choose one task for your session. Halloween activities have different requirements, and finishing a mission is not always the same as meeting its weekly challenge. This guide is a preparation checklist, not a claim that we have verified a complete 2026 ghost-location route.

Reviewed 22 October 2026. The event runs through 4 November according to Rockstar’s update notes. For the dated challenge and reward table, use the weekly update.

Before a Survival run

  • Read the current challenge wording and note whether it requires a full clear, a wave count or a no-death run.
  • Check health, armour and ammunition before launching.
  • Agree who watches each approach and where the group will regroup if pressured.
  • Choose a position with cover and a usable escape route rather than crowding every teammate into the same corner.

These are our planning recommendations. Different Survival layouts need different tactics. Start by learning where attacks come from, and change position deliberately when the current spot becomes unsafe. A guide should help you prepare, not imply that one hiding place guarantees completion.

During the run

Keep communication short and useful: which side needs help, when you are moving and whether a teammate has lost their safe position. Avoid having everyone chase one distant enemy while another route is exposed. If a challenge has a no-death condition, treat preserving the run as more valuable than a few seconds of faster progress.

After the finish, check the challenge state and reward notification. Record what the game shows before starting another attempt. Do not assume that a partial run met a full-clear requirement or that a general completion message proves a separate weekly objective was counted.

Ghosts Exposed: verify the route year

The October update changes the ghost locations. Check that a route explicitly covers 2026 and the same activity you are attempting. If its first location does not match the game, stop and verify the source instead of spending the evening following every old coordinate.

  • Check the event window before travelling.
  • Look for the route’s year, last review date and location coverage.
  • Compare the first objective with the in-game prompt.
  • Record confirmed progress as you go.
  • Do not mistake daily reference activities for permanent collectible completion.

Use a checklist without losing your place

Keep your route reference separate from your completion notes. Mark an objective only after the game confirms it, and note any location you could not verify. When returning for another session, start with what remains rather than repeating a route from the top.

Browse the collectible guide for permanent sets and read guides in the free SixCentral app. Check each set’s coverage label; the app invitation is not a claim that every seasonal location is mapped.

After the event

Keep the dated record if it helps you remember the activity, but do not carry its temporary rewards into next month’s earning plan. A new Halloween year needs fresh location checks. Use the latest official announcement before treating an archived guide as current.
